call thai airways, request for the seat u want..i.e emergency exit...they will not grant ur request immediately, but they will document it in ur PNR, On the day of the flight, check in as early as possible, and remind the check in counter of ur request, they will do everything to get ur seat. I did this last week, which I got on both return sectors.remember, check in the earliest.
