I noticed that flights out of CDG had great looking meat a few years back. I tended to order the chicken or vegetarian options. Recently I had the venison a couple of times, and the first time it was cooked quite well (out of PEK), the second time it was quite over-cooked (out of YYZ).

Contrast to UA F, SQ F, OZ C and F, NH C, all of which consistently give properly cooked meat in the past 3 years. I don't remember what I ordered on LH C. In fact, OZ C short-medium hauls has often been an excellently prepared filet mignon! It beats the pants off of "Executive First" meals I've had .... ever.

I agree, AC is generally quite bad, but occasionally you get a good one.
