Think of it as advertising with a twist. Someone has to go to Brussels, checks flights and then remembers "Oh yeah, there's that train thingy as well..." when he sees the Eurostar entry. I doubt very many people end up booking the Eurostar through an airline GDS, but if enough of them end up booking with Eurostar through whatever channel, the GDS fees are money well spent.
