You can join JALs Mileage Bank and get access to award availability and as far as I have required it seems to mirror what AAwards offers.

You can join AsiaMiles for CX and get some indication of Award seats, unfortunately it seems AAwards no longer replicates what Asia Miles/Cathay is showing. YMMV
