The law may not require it, but your account agreement does. The signature card agreement states that the card is to be used for personal and household expenses only. And if I remember right, it goes on to say that it is not to be used for business expenses. Now, that's not to say that they're going to do anything, however, you would technically be in default on the agreement from day one if your intent is to use it for business purposes.
