Thank you guys! I ended up going to an alteration place before I looked on the thread to check for replies.

I found the place on Lower Sloane Street (next to the tailor) and while the quote was frightfully high, they did an amazing job with pinning up the garment that I asked them to go ahead. I shall let you know how it turns out.
