My favorite (for confusion) is still the electronic departure board in the Milan main station, which showed a train leaving for "Monaco," which is Italian for Munich (the trains via Monaco, the principality, indicated "Monte Carlo"). When I was last in Milan the departure board had been updated and showed trains for "Monaco/Muenchen."
