Thanks for the help, everyone. Stut, the city names in the various languages is a big help. The uninitiated cannot fathom the importance of one tiny letter.

I am truly grateful for the step-by-step instructions. I will definitely have everything printed and in my carry-on file on this trip.

I may need to adjust dates as I didn't realize the distances were so great. I was planning 10/17-20 in Prague (basically 2 days), 20-22 in Krakow (which now seems like just one day with travel on the outside two), 22-24 in Budapest (again, I guess 1 day with travel) and 1 week in Vienna - hoping to take day trips out if we get bored.

Would anyone have any opinions on traveling by rail from Krakow to Vienna and then making the trip to Budapest - spend a night or two, and then back to Vienna. A little bit of backtracking that way. My "problem" with Vienna is that I'd like to see the Vienna Boys' Choir and that would be a Sunday performance at the church so have to be there on the 24th. I think from what I've read the trip from Vienna to Budapest is about 3 hours....right?
