Look at the flyer talk history.
The AA 777 seat map problem has been going on for many months.
It works for a while, then is broken again.
People have claimed the have spoke to web services and it will be fixed, soon, But this was many months ago. The definition of soon is not known.
Everyone needs to do a contact email to web services. If they get enough complaints, maybe they will fix it this year.
