To my understanding, and I'm actually just about to drive up to Flagstaff from Prescott, there was an article in the Flagstaff paper probably over a month ago and commented on the city's new service and major note was FLG was not performing to expectations at this point. I know now that there is some small time adjustments being made next month or the following to allow for greater international connections to/from the nonstop midday flight.
Just after that article, the Prescott Daily Courier did a small clip as well, and personally I'm very good friends with the airport manager being a college bud, and he was interviewed for the piece. We talked afterwards, but basically, Horizon noted the PRC route was seeing numbers impressive for such a new route, and our one nonstop flight tags to/from FLG for the overnight and crew swaps, but the route hadn't matured as expected now over time. Sadly enough, here in Prescott, that blame lies solely in our lackluster pathetic Chamber of Commerce and to no laziness but their own, lack of promoting the new service into our community.
Hopefully the summer season approaching will increase passenger loads for the route and allow for its survivability into the fall.
