But if the flight is full the seat block doesn't matter. I find the best seat block (most recently, ironically, on ORD-LAS) when I am with my wife is to ask the GA if there is anyone between us. We always book Aisle/Window and if someone sits in the middle just switch. With me as a 1K and her as a *Silver(US) when the GA starts to fill the E+ seats free they will often skip our row.
