Weekend rates tend to be good here. I received an excellent rate for a weekend over Frühlingsfest 2008 (a spring festival, like a much smaller Oktoberfest). The location was decent enough, easy to reach by public transport and if you prefer taxis they seem reasonably priced around the centre of Munich.
