AmEx said no promo running now, but I could get the Green IEC card at half price of the annual fee if I have another ICC card, perhaps the IDC Platinum. Not bad. Not as good as free for life.

Thanks for the info on the round about way of getting it free, but don't see myself doing GBP100,000 with HSBC.
