Thank you both for clarification. Just booked the 2 nights at Darling Harbour, Sydney. More nights followed in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.
Yesterday I signed up for the A-Club but the system does not recognize the membership number for booking despite I can log in. I suppose at check-in I could present the A-Club card to add the number, right? Though with this low rate, I doubt it would earn much points, or whether such points are worth anything.
EDIT:
The good location Novotel in Singapore proper is gone, ditto one night in Kuala Lumpur also gone. I should have done that last night w/o waiting for the A-Club working, as it is still not working.
However, the Singapore Novotel is still available at the discounted Advantage Plus rate - so it means they allocate the rooms between the Advantage Plus group and the regular customer group.
I am still unable to use the A|Club number that I signed up yesterday.
