AirTran has gotten a lot of attention for its latest fare sale, on the theory that sales through summer (and into fall) are unusual for this time of year. There's some theory that they're hurting for business.

I've got a bunch of itineraries I've been following for late spring and summer, looking for a bargain. None of them had their price reduced by this sale.

Has anyone had a different experience? I'm guessing that some off-peak travel days may have better fares now.
