At first, it was a let-down to get the standard "preferred" card wrapped in materials that are disguised as and promoting the advantages of First. But that was tempered by the fact that, in practice, First really had no tangible benefit. I was rarely proactively upgraded - only occasionally when asked - and then to high-mileage, undesirable cars. No thanks, for personal rentals I now look elsewhere.
