EQM are invisble miles that cant be redeemed for anything so even if the client takes the RDM, the EQM count towards your status.

Also as noted I would (if at all) surrender my base miles but thats about it. The elite bonus is my personal gain as I worked towards this benefit independent from this particular client.
If the miles were charged to the Corporate account you would never get any EQMs!

Congrats to the OP for winning on this one. I definitely wouldn't have accepted the bean counting policy either!
