The rooms we got were definitely recently renovated...no signs of old peeling paint. We were with some friends (no status) whose rooms were also fine, so I'm guessing most if not all of the rooms have been renovated. As I said in my earlier post, I would rate the rooms higher than almost any other Sheraton I've stayed in except Sheraton Tel Aviv Hotel and Towers, and the Sheraton Park Tower in London (which isn't really a Sheraton). As a category 2 it is a steal.
Isn't it nice to see some positive comments about an Israeli SPG Hotel? For one, I do believe that the Sheraton Tiberias is deserving of its good reviews. As of Nov. 2008, all of the rooms had been renovated and the Hotel was definitely undervalued as a CAT 2.
