It usually doesn't hurt to get rated. The only time you don't want to be rated is when you've been playing at a higher rate and decide to sit down and waste some time. Case in point, I'll usually rate out anywhere from $50-150/hand on a trip...but at some point will sit with my fiancee and play $5-15 (whatever the lowest minimum is we can find) a hand with her. At that point, I ask not to be rated because I don't want to drag down my average.
Correct. I refused to give my players club while playing a $10 BJ game at the Mirage while burning time waiting for my buddy to do something since I was playing a $50 BJ game at other times. The pit boss understood.
