The Pullman gets rave reviews on TripAdvisor, but it looks like all their rooms have one king bed. OK if you're a couple, but the hotel told me that an extra bed for the kid will be 1500 THB extra - more than the room rate under this deal!

So I went for the nearby VIE Hotel Bangkok instead, which has rooms with 2 double beds, not to mention suites with a king bed and separate living room - suite is going for the same sale price. The VIE is brand new (opened December 08), so I couldn't find much in the way of comments about it online, but its regular prices are in the same range as the Pullman's, and the pictures certainly look nice (for whatever that's worth). We'll see!
