I think that is highly unlikely. How will they determine which MBNA awarded miles have been used from your account, it is not as if you can specify when making an award reservation to only use miles that have been earned from your credit card!

I closed an account (Mastercard) last year and had no problems. Check the terms and conditions of the credit card.
