I highly doubt Northwest is going to give you anything.

They are going to claim that it is your responsiblity to ensure that you have the correct paperwork/documentation for the travel you have purchased from Northwest.

And to be honest, I agree with them. It would have been great if Northwest personnel had caught YOUR error. But they did not and you had to pay the price for YOUR error.
