That's right, the machine at LHR had printed out my return leg...
Can't win either way!
I decided to give it a go last week, I got the pass sent to my phone, asked at the check-in counter if there'd be any problems (I was assured they wouldn't be), my hold luggage was then tagged and she looked for somewhere to stick the luggage receipt (no passport as UK domestic). So I said "you might as well just print out a boarding pass".
So I never got to see whether the mobile boarding pass would cause any problem in the *A lounge. Do any of the LHR lounges scan the barcode or check the pax lists to see if you should be in there?
Partner has an iPhone, so also tried sending boarding pass to that. As its not got MMS I knew it wouldn't work, but I thought there'd be at least a message from O2 saying that someone tried to send an MMS. However, nothing at all was received.
Are the regular barcoded online boarding passes acceptable when displayed on the screen of a smartphone? If not is there any real reason why not?
