The interesting thing to me in this whole thread, is that no one seems to care that Delta, along with all of the other airlines, is at best breaking even and mostly losing money. We can all complain about how things were in the good old days, i.e. cheaper prices for everything airline related. But, until the airlines are more stable financially, I wouldn't expect these fees to change and they shouldn't. I'm fairly comfortable with an airline making a decision to charge "competitive" rates for what is essentially same day air freight service.
