New Zealand has very easy permanent residence & immigration requirements compared to Au. And onto NZ Citzenship.

Been often reported the 50% of NZ citizen's moving to Au are NOT NZ born. NZ is easy entry card to Au if you wait 3 (or 5?) years

NZ citizen's moving to Au is about 50 per day nett (out NZ less into NZ)
