Oh yes, and while you’re in Germany, be prepared for everyone calling Intercontinental the “Interconti” for some reason. (I’ve noticed this in Frankfurt, Köln and Düsseldorf.)

I even had taxi drivers looking puzzled at me when I asked to go to the Intercontinental hotel, until they realized that I was talking about “aha, the Interconti!”.
