"Business-friendly High Frequency" cannot mean the same for the 11.5 hour hub-to-hub CDG-ICN as well as the MAD-BCN shuttle. For long-haul flights with a lot of cnn pax and a big time difference between origin and destination, 2 or 3 daily flights are sufficient from a frequency standpoint.
Of course, some extremely popular mid-hauls like NYC-LON, LAX-NYC and LON-DXB can sustain considerably more than 2 or 3 flights, and in such cases airlines will also compete on frequencies.
