1) The question is so random in the first place. The thread is entitled "Predictions for the end of Kingfisher Airlines", then you speak about "...predicting the demise of Kingfisher Airlines", later still you ask as to "Predict the month and year in which Kingfisher will end operations" and in the same breath you speak about the time "[w]hen Vijay Mallya sells up and walks away".

Many airlines have thrived after their founder left (current example: easyJet), so basing "the end of Kingfisher Airlines" on the departure of VM is totally random.

2) I do not know enough about Kingfisher to make a calculated prediction.
its just a little bit of fun, the whole of India knows that Vijay Mallya is bleeding cash over Kingfisher Airlines, stories are going round at Heathrow airport that they are going to pack up shop in about a year. Even my wife mentions that things are not going swimmingly. Their pay is never paid on time, sometimes upto 10-14 days late. I worked for AA, they are in a ...... financial situation but i always received pay on time.

the reason why i stated when planes stop flying or when VM walks away is because Kingfisher will always be linked with him and Kingfisher beer even if someone else takes over. its just fun to predict when he would get bored of the airline industry and walk away or totally fails!

BTW, i think the service onboard is top notch and deserves all the plaudits but that does not take away my opinion that the airline is run by amateurs and is slowly going down the pan!
