I sorta thought the same thing. I have never had a problem with SAA staff (pleasant albeit perfunctory), and I have never actually sat in a Y seat (but I walked through the cabin to visit with friends who were in the back), but to portray SAA as this vastly superior coach experience is ridiculous.
