Has anybody had a luck recently through checking bags from Virgin onto BA ?

Virgin have moved my flight arrival time into Gatwick ( from Vegas ) and I have 1hour and 45 mins to land, deplane , customs , collect bags , transfer terminals , check in/bag drop , security , shoes off , shoes on again , run to the gate and fly out on my BA connection to Malaga.

All or any help truely appreciated.
