Reached Silver. Can I use QF lounge before new card arrives?

I did a search, but I couldn't find any related threads.

I qualified for silver status while flying to Sydney. The status is now reflected online on BAEC page. Next week I have a QF domestic flight from SYD to ADL, in economy. Is there any chance they can check my status and hence be allowed into the QF lounge? Would a print out of the BA page showing my silver status helps at all?
