So my question is can my bags be checked in Dallas and picked up in Dublin (at about the same time I get there of course, without any claiming & re-checking along the way). Before you suggest I phone AA, I have. The answers have been: "1"(pretty sure that one's wrong),"2", "3", "no limit" (pretty sure that one's wrong too) & "I don't know." I guess I could phone 20 times and go with the average but I figured someone on here must have encountered this issue somewhere, sometime.

Will I actually do this? I doubt it because the double LHR x-fer increases the chances for a mishap by an order of magnitude but for the moment its on hold and I'm asking.
