BA + FlyBE (scotland) pros and cons of buying together or seperately

Hi,

In the logical world of airfare pricing, I've stumbled upon this for an upcoming trip to Scotland.

What shoud I do?

XXX denotes an undisclosed flyBE (Loganair) flight codeshared with BA

Buy together
LCY-GLA-XXX
XXX-GLA-LCY
£238 / all in with YQ
(purchased from ba.co.uk)

However if I buy it seperately

LCY-GLA
GLA-LCY
£86 / all in
(purchased from ba.co.uk)

GLA-XXX
XXX-GLA
£88 / all in
(purchased from flybe.co.uk)

Total cost =£174

Difference in fare = £64 / ~ $100

$100 is a nice lunch folks. Am i paying $100 for the privilege of having the two segments on 1 ticket? . I assume also that BA can interline with flyBE.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

*LCY indicates posters travel policy that LHR should be avoided where possible, unless companions that bear precious metal status accompany the poster on BA flights. The LHR-GLA also available, for much less actually.
