How would you like being sprayed by mosquito fogger at a 5 star resort?

I was recently a guest at a 5 star resort. I fell asleep at the pool and next thing I heard a god almight noise and the whole world went foggy and i couldnt even see my husband next to me. On going back to the room there was a message on the TV sent 45 mins before the spraying stating that they would be spraying for mosquitoes around the resort at 5.30
That night my husband got a rash all over his body and arms and upper legs.
We didnt think much of it but thought he may be allergic to the pool chlorine.
so we didnt go in the pool after that.
I complained to the front desk but other than an im sorry it wont happen again we heard nothing.
My husband spoke to a doctor when returning about the spray and if it was dangerous and he said well you could get a nasty rash
the penny then dropped about what had happened.
I wrote to the GM but just got a
well you were warned on the TV
( yes 43 mins before the spraying-well it is a resort people dont sit by the TV waiting for messages)
and
"The chemical used is a laboratory produced chemical similar to a natural plant extract called Pyrethrum and the chemical has a very low toxicity level.
As Pyrethrum is a chemical it can be a potential irritant but due to the level of exposure to our guests it is unlikely to cause a significant risk."

Do any of you have similar experiences and how do you think the incident should have been handled?
