Flying brew of mileage zone nonsense

I have waited years for FB executives to look at a map and discover that Guam is not next to New Zealand or Africa.

Narita-Auckland (11 hours): 80,000

Narita-San Juan PR (16 hours+): 80,000

Narita-Nairobi (18 hours+): 70,000

Narita-Mumbai (9 hours): 70,000

Narita-JFK (12 hours): 60,000

And then we have Narita-Guam, a 3-hour sector on Skyteam partner NW, at 80,000.

An inquiry to FB about this got the following reply:
"We would like to inform you that due to Guam is located in Pacific ocean, therefore, we consider Guam to be in the same zone as Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Mariannes Islands, Micronesia and Palau Island."

So, it seems they have indeed discovered that Guam is in the Pacific Ocean.

Additional insanity:

The inane explanations on the website, e.g., Classic Award = "Classic award ticket. Used as a Classic award ticket..."

The convoluted system of (not) finding information on the AF website, with continual looping back to the original page without reaching the info.

Nearly zero attention to Asia-based members, particularly in terms of promotions.

Enough of this nonsense.
