I think it has more to do with UA not releasing very much (any) NC inventory at the moment, not the Thanksgiving holiday. On transpac flights these are likely to be less full, not more, as business travellers won't go from the US during Thanksgiving unless they have to, and it's not a holiday in Asia obviously.
