I've stayed there and it's perfectly OK for a budget hotel. I would probably consider a better hotel with the deals around at the moment which would give you more bang for your buck.

I would agree that the location is not the best - it is pushing up toward the more unsavoury end of town and I would be careful out and about after dark.
