Whats frustrating is that their own people don't know the bloody rules to their own program. Last night I was told point blank by the lovely people in C concourse that we NO LONGER have standbye since last year. I kindly said, I do this every week, trust me you do. She refused to call a manager, I thanked her for her time, walked over to the gate and asked the GA to put me on standbye. I'm a Platinum.... he obliged and I made the flight.

So back to this thread, if you SDC, you cannot have any bags according to the interpertation on how we read the rules, so check bags DON'T SDC, and just ask to be put on the standbye list. Since avaliability was already there to SDC chances are probably very high making the flight just on plain standbye.

Wish they would just make it one plain simple rule, SDC or Standbye for Plats and Gold regardless of checked bags.
