Took a cab to/from the airport four times over last week. Three of the rides were smooth. Between 210-220 baht not including taxi stand and tolls to the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.

However, one ride from the SGS, the drivers meter had some of the display missing, so you really couldn't tell what the rate was until it went over 200. Of course, it crossed the 200 mark early on the trip, by the time we got to the airport it was 310, so it appeared he added a 100 before we left.

On the way to the airport he asked for 150 baht for the tolls. I told him that the tolls were only 70 and he didn't press the issue.

He drove very slowly and was all over the road. His air conditioner left a lot to be desired. Part of the fun of Bangkok I guess.
