Paper vs. E-ticket for a LONE4

I will be purchasing a LONE4 ticket in the near future and am wondering what people's experiences and feelings were with paper or e-tickets for these types of products. My biggest concerns for the paper ticket are the possibility of losing them during the next ~18 months of travel and any difficulty in changing the dates. I have read that a trip to a OW office, possibly at an airport, is necessary to get the changed tickets reprinted and this seems like a huge hassle especially since I am planning long stretches of overland travel. I have also read a few horror stories in these forums about e-tickets essentially vanishing from the system when date changes are incorrectly handled and the passenger has no paper ticket as proof.

With the online tool I can enter dummy dates and get an e-ticket issued through LAN and the fees seem low enough. I will also be in New York State before the 10% sale ends, so I also have the option of leaving open dates with a paper ticket purchased in Canada.

Is there any clear benefit for one ticket type over the other? Thanks in advance.

for what its worth here is my route
