Just a few questions:

Did the grandmother just accompanied her granddaughter to LAX to make sure that she got on the Australian bound flight okay, and returned to YEG immediately?

I have never flown to the US from YEG. Does YEG have US immigration and customer pre-clearance?

It appeared that the granddaughter was making an immediate connection at LAX and you’d expect her bag to have been through-checked to Australia. If not, why not?

Was the missing bag reported to AC LAX baggage service?

Did AC YEG violate any privacy code by speaking to the grandmother about her granddaughter’s mishandled bag?

Did AC authorise any out-of-pocket expenses for missing the luggage for 3 days?

Why were the grandparents entitled to “first” class to HNL? Were they upper tier Aeroplan members?
