It made a giant, faceless corporation even bigger. You're right, though. There'll be little to no effect, except for a small handful of bands that refuse to play LiveNation venues or have their tickets sold through TicketMaster.
They all break eventually, though. Even Pearl Jam gave up when they had no where left to play.
