You've probably figured out that there are no hotels immediately nearby SMF.

You talking >6 miles either into northside Sacramento or Woodland.

The Natomas/South Natomas area of the former has several hotels, but I don't think any has a 24 hour shuttle.

The latter has a Holiday Inn Express or a Hampton, and some other skeevier choices.

You can try doing a search on kayak.com and look for hotels with the little bus symbol lit up.

A taxi will probably run you $20 one way to either Woodland or Natomas.

Your best bet would be to get a cheap one-day weekend rate rental car, imo.
