Gas on the fire...
Should we re-ignite the debate concerning the logic of letting AC staff travel in J when I would gladly pay a gate premium to move from Y to J? And then stick AC'ers in my empty Y seat? If AC needs to boost yield, and not pax load, they need to look at raising money from existing pax, and not waste money looking for new ones. They got great ideas to reduce the weight of the aircraft from AC staffers... I don't think we'll see the same initiative if it means less staffers in J...too bad. I loved the old America West and Northwest Airlines check-in process that would offer the first pax to check-in the option of upgrading for X dollars.
