General description.

6 to 8 people - likely with 4 to 5 speaking.

Big boardroom setting but we'd just use one part of it.

Chatter as in some quick back and forth between the "parties". Question, answer, question. Hopefully little to no "talk over" but it might happen. My concern is with "side" issues not getting caught due to sheer speed (two of the people can talk people's ears off and they won't slow down)

As far as hook-up, any suggestions are gladly accepted Basic plan was to connect the mic with the laptop and then have the software (which I also need) record it to the harddrive.

Primary purpose is to serve as a back-up for minutes but I may try to outsource the transcription process itself.

Renting vs buying - if renting is an option, then will gladly do so. Just need suggestions about the type of places that do so (in Vancouver especially).
