This would allow me to select an IFE movie/program that will fit in the allotted time so I can watch it start to finish. I cannot count the number of times I have started to watch a movie only to have the IFE shut down upon descent with 10 minutes left in the movie. Is this that hard to figure this out? Am I missing something...or does this only appeal to me (I rarely have time to watch movies at home so 90% of the new movies I watch are on IFE)? Anyways if there is a problem with this could some enlightened FT'er point it out to me? Do others think this is a good idea?
Let me know.

Hm... HomerJ, you are missing a little something- the announcement about gate to gate vs airtime is made on almost every flight, except most times it is the Service Director who usually makes it before take off, often before push back, at the same time as the fasten seat belt, put tray table up.... etc announcement. So maybe you are not apying attention at that particular time? In all fairness it's easy to miss it when one is still settling in...
