Myself and 2 companions are planning to amtrak to Was DC for a conference in April - we are thinking to leave from PVD but could also consider a South of Boston departure. We are in the process of deciding b/t Acela or Northeast Regional. Planning to upgrade to business class if using Regional so as to have an reserved seat. We would be able to use a AAA 10% discount if on Regional but not on Acela as it would be weekday travel both ways. We will each have a rolling luggage and carryons. Wondering pros/cons of Acela vs. regional regarding cost, comfort, ease, time in travel, seating, luggage storage and any other considerations. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! JL
