I'm trying to get BA to price up a 6-segment South American Airpass itinerary. The first time I tried (last week), BA did nothing for 5 days and then LAN cancelled all the segments. So I tried again early this week, and still haven't got a price even though I've called three times and apparently it's in a "rush" queue.

In the meantime I tried another specialist travel agent and they came back with a quote within 15 minutes. I'd go for it right now, except their booking fee is twice what BA's would be (if it could get around to pricing the itinerary).

Is it always this difficult to purchase a ticket from BA - or are they still labouring with rebookings following the weather delays?
