HKG ticket agent refuse to move me from C to F on O class ticket
This is a UA F award on OZ.
On Wednesday 2/11, I went to the OZ checkin counter in HKG for my flight HKG-ICN-ORD, with HKG-ICN being in C and ICN-ORD being in F. I had called ahead if F open on HKG-ICN, I can move up to C, this was told by US agent, as well as the HK res.agent, as long as it is same flight, same routing.
OZ agent told me there is F available, but they didnot know if I require more mileage to move from C to F (the dumbest answer I got as I was ticketed O class all the way, and I think this was not true OZ agent either, probably handle by third party) Therefore, OZ agent walked me to UA, what a coincidence, UA counter in HKG is actually behind OZ counter.
We went to the UA ticket/service counter next to the checkin counter. She showed me a paper saying that is what she got from US office, once award travel begins, no changes allowed. I then told her i had called the US awards line and the HK res.line the assure I should be able to change from C to F. She wouldn't listen and we argue on that issue for 30 min. I will probably write up to CS about this HKG lady.
