Just a thought, after takeoff the pilot comes over the loud speaker and usually announces arrival time, could they not take an extra 15 seconds to announce the in air time. What I mean is "flying time will be 2 hrs and 40 min gate to gate" and "in air time will be 2 hrs and 12 minutes". This would allow me to select an IFE movie/program that will fit in the allotted time so I can watch it start to finish. I cannot count the number of times I have started to watch a movie only to have the IFE shut down upon descent with 10 minutes left in the movie. Is this that hard to figure this out? Am I missing something...or does this only appeal to me (I rarely have time to watch movies at home so 90% of the new movies I watch are on IFE)? Anyways if there is a problem with this could some enlightened FT'er point it out to me? Do others think this is a good idea?
